Falling Windows

Something is not right!!! With effect from 1 Oct this year, HDB house owners are responsible to ensure they change their aluminum window rivets to stainless steel rivets or screw. From Year 2000 till now. there are about 415 cases of windows fall off from the flats, and most of the flats are less that 10 years old. Why?? obviously these are design flaws and poor workmanship.

Ten years ago, i seldom heard about windows falling off, because last time they use stronger material to make window (Look at the old 2 rooms or 3 rooms flats, you will know why?) Now the flats are more expensive and yet the contractor can use aluminum to install the windows!!. They made mistakes and want the people to fork out the extra money to reinstall their windows. What's this!!
